When the exam is completed, the marks for each question are added to the total. For a student to be eligible for admission into a medical course, he or she should have a minimum of 20 points.
The IMAT test is administered by 13 Italian universities, but the number of applications has been growing over the years. Most students have improved in their abilities over the years, but it is still a difficult exam to pass.
The test takes 100 minutes to complete. In this time, the candidate must answer 60 questions. Unlike other exams, the IMAT does not award points for unanswered questions. Applicants who answer each question correctly receive 1.5 points. Those who answer fewer or more questions than intended will receive -0.4 points for each question they answer incorrectly.
The IMAT test is not for everyone. Despite the difficulty of the exam, it does provide a great opportunity for those seeking medical admission. To prepare for the test, practice on paper and try past papers. Doing past papers is the best way to simulate the exam. Try to replicate the conditions of the actual test, and practice under timed conditions.
Taking the IMAT test can be intimidating, but it is not as hard as it seems. The important thing is to stay positive and keep an eye on your progress. By keeping in mind the goals of the test and learning from your mistakes, you will be prepared for the exam.
